Nestled beside the breathtaking Lagarfljót lake, the accommodation experience is like sleeping in a cozy museum, with antique furniture and plenty of character. The home-cooked meals, especially the lamb stew, were delights that truly captured the essence of traditional Icelandic cuisine. The hot tub also provided a spectacular setting to view the Northern Lights.

Cozy farmhouse experience with a home-cooked meal that truly captured the essence of Icelandic cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the smoked lamb dinner, which was probably the best meal of our trip. The hot tub offered a magical opportunity to watch the northern lights while relaxing, making it an unforgettable experience. It was a great place to slow down and unwind during our one-night stay.

The location is stunning, being set in the

heart of Iceland’s untouched nature. The renovated farmhouse offers fascinating decor and a cozy atmosphere. While the shared bathroom setup may be inconvenient for some, the charm and authenticity of the accommodations made my stay truly special.

i was shockingly dissapointed by my stay. the bathroom door was absolutely lOUd, waking me up constantly. i almost gave a good review, but where was my complimentary drink for all the inconvenience? can’t say i’d be returning anytime soon.

the sauna was amazing, and the surrounding valley was stunning. breakfast featured a buffet with local flavors, which made for a fun start of the day. sheep roaming around just added to the charm!

Recommend it for adventurous travelers

This place is really fun to stay at and the drive to the location is fine. I loved sleeping in the shared space that felt like a Viking longhouse, it was clean and decorated like a museum. Plus, I rode horses the next morning. I can still feel the wind in my face from that ride.

It wasn’t inexpensive but still acceptable.
